John Collins reacts to the news Celtic will face Jo Inge Berget

The ex-Celtic striker will come up against his former side in the Champions League.

Celtic assistant manager John Collins is looking forward to the club's reunion with former striker Jo Inge Berget, according to the club's official Twitter feed.

Indeed, the Bhoys were drawn against Malmo in the Champions League play-off to determine whether they make it into the group stages this season - something they failed to do last term.

And Inge Berget, who had an unsuccessful loan spell at Parkhead, happens to now play for Malmo.

But Collins has praised the 24-year-old and is looking forward to the reunion.

On Celtic's overall chances, meanwhile, Collins was buoyant, talking up both the Scottish champions' prospects home and away.

After the manner in which the Bhoys shut Qarabag out, the assistant boss is looking ahead to the Malmo tie.

Meanwhile, Celtic are away at Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership this Sunday afternoon, which will be their second league game of the campaign so far.

Last weekend, the Hoops beat Ross County 2-0 at a canter and Collins, Ronny Deila and co will no doubt be looking for more of the same this time around.
