Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is set to sign a five-year deal at Roma after passing a medical in the Italian capital, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Roma have been chasing Dzeko all summer and earlier this week they finally agreed a fee with City for the Bosnian after weeks of talks.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini admitted during the club's pre-season tour of Australia that Dzeko could leave the club this summer.
Dzeko started just 11 league games last season and scored only four goals, with the January arrival of Wilfried Bony pushing the former Wolfsburg man down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
The 29-year-old joined City from Wolfsburg in 2011 and helped the club win two Premier League titles, scoring 50 goals in a 130 league games.
Dzeko is the second City player to move to Serie A this summer after Stevan Jovetic joined Inter Milan on loan earlier this week.
