Championship new boys Bristol City are on the verge of signing Tottenham defender Ryan Fredericks on a permanent deal, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Fredericks came through the youth ranks at White Hart Lane and made his senior debut for the club in the Europa League in August 2011.
The full-back has made just four first-team appearances for Tottenham spending most of his time out on loan in recent years.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed time out on loan at Brentford, Millwall and Middlesbrough in the last two seasons.
The attacking full-back impressed at Middlesbrough last term making 19 appearances as the club reached the play-off final.
The likes of Queens Park Rangers and Fulham have been credited with an interest in Fredericks, but Bristol City are set to win the race for the defender's signature.
Tottenham are willing to sell Fredericks as he is in the final 12 months of his contract at White Hart Lane and Bristol City have agreed a fee for the right-back.
