Stoke City v Liverpool
Liverpool are fostering hopes of a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, but they are going to find it tough to kick off their campaign with a win.
Stoke City are a very strong team at home, and manager Mark Hughes’s side will make it hard for the Reds to even draw the encounter at the Britannia Stadium.
The Potters will be aiming to end up in the top 10 once again and will be looking for a win against Liverpool.
Liverpool v Bournemouth
Bournemouth are one of the three promoted sides and are many Premier League observers’ favourites to get relegated to the Championship.
The Cherries, though, are expected to create some shocks as the season progresses, and one of them could come against Liverpool at Anfield.
Perhaps a win may be too much to ask of Bournemouth, but they can certainly hold Brendan Rodgers’s side to a draw.
Arsenal v Liverpool
This is the first big test Arsenal will face in their challenge to win the Premier League title this season.
Liverpool will be aiming to finish in the top four of the league, and the Merseyside outfit will head to North London knowing that they can win against the Gunners.
A single goal could prove to be the difference between the two teams, but this game could also end in a score draw.
Liverpool v West Ham United
West Ham United are expected to make a strong challenge for a top-eight finish in the Premier League this season.
Slaven Bilic’s side will head to Anfield keen on at least drawing the encounter, but Liverpool are a better side and should be able to win.
