Rotherham United have it all to do if they are to beat the drop this time around. Do our writers think they can manage it?
Steve Evans may have masterminded an unexpected survival in the Championship last season but he has work cut out if he is to repeat that feat.
The light-hearted scenes at the end of last year when Evans donned beach wear for Rotherham's final game of the season may be long forgotten if the Millers get off to a sluggish start.
Damien Lucas: Steve Evans' side ruffle a few feathers early on but can't keep pace in an intensely competitive division going down as the basement club.
Freddie Shires: Rotherham were fortunate to stay up last season and will find the going even harder this time around.
Mathew Nash: Just about survived last term but, despite some interesting signings, they look worse this season. Relegation beckons.
Che Thomas: Rotherham just escaped the drop last season, and although they’ve made some signings that could turn out ok, many have limited experience or are slipping from their ability to contribute. The relegation battle will be tighter than it was last season, and I think the Millers may not have enough.
Steven Pickering: The Millers have improved a lot over the summer transfer window and after last season’s survival heroics, they look good to do it once again. Tom Thorpe could be an inspired signing. Key player: Tom Thorpe.
Tim Poole: Steve Evans narrowly avoided relegation last season but I can't see him repeating the feat.
Billy Hawkins: Last place beckons as Rotherham’s squad is found out, sending them back to League One.
Our writers were asked to predict the outcome of next season's Championship campaign. We accumulated their rankings (24 points for first place, 1 for 24th, etc), and created a predicted 2015-16 league table.
