Sampdoria have reportedly decided against a deal for Georgios Samaras.
Sampdoria have pulled out of a deal to sign Greek international striker Georgios Samaras, report Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.
He had been expected to join Serie A side Sampdoria, but it appears the deal is off, with concerns over his physical condition, highlighted by a medical.
Tuttomercatoweb report: "Sampdoria has decided to forgo the purchase of Georgios Samaras. The Greek did not convince from the physical point of view, so the club will play it safe and leave the deal although they had already found the economic agreement."
The decision is a blow to the striker, who is 30-years-old. He played only eight games for West Brom last season before being loaned out to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.
Samaras is best known for his time spent at Celtic, where he won four Scottish Premier League titles.
