Manchester United’s players were put through their paces ahead of their opening Premier League match of the season against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Louis van Gaal’s side have impressed during pre-season, winning three of their four friendly matches and signing five new players to date.
All the new faces were on show at the training ground, with recent goalkeeping addition Sergio Romero having his time between the sticks along with current first-choice David de Gea.
Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Matteo Darmian also featured as they look to play their way into United’s starting line-up against Spurs.
That side is likely to be very similar to the one that was played time and again by van Gaal this summer, with United fans likely to see a 4-3-3 formation and plenty of attacking intent as a result.
United are still a striker and a centre-back short of being a complete squad and there may well be more additions before the transfer window closes, but for now they will be putting their faith in the players already at the club to get off to a much better start than last season.
