The striker has a potent scoring record for Astra, but has struggled with injuries.
The Hammers are currently level 2-2 from the first-leg, after throwing away a 2-0 lead at Upton Park last week.
Now the captain of the Romanian side has a warning for West Ham, as the club will unleash a top quality talent on them for the second leg.
The player in question is Denis Alibec, who was unavailable for the first-leg.
“It's a big advantage for us that Denis has recovered.
“Alibec, if I give a great cross there will be a goal.
“If he plays will help us a lot, especially since he did not play on the road, so the people at West Ham do not know what to expect.”
West Ham should be wary of Alibec. A former Inter Milan youth talent he scored 10 goals in 18 appearances for Astra last season and in his two terms with the club has claimed 15 goals in 29 games for the club.
Budescu seems to think he’ll be fit for the second leg and West Ham should beware his firepower in front of goal.
The Hammers have struggled in the competition so far. Two unconvincing performances against Andorran minnows Lusitans were followed up with a dreary penalty shoot-out scramble with Maltese Cup winners Birkirkara.
Now they must overcome Astra in their own back garden, with their most potent finisher back in action, so this is far from a banker.
