Liverpool have sent a third young player on loan to Swindon Town.

Liverpool have announced on their official website that their 21-year-old goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux has joined League One club Swindon Town on a season-long loan.

The young stopper played against his parent-club when Liverpool took on Swindon in a pre-season friendly on Sunday, and his trial proved to be a success, with manager Mark Cooper opting to make him the third recent loan signing from Anfield.

Jordan Williams and Kevin Stewart arrived at the club earlier this summer and now the trio will be hoping to get the first-team chances that could ultimately pave the way for a chance with Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Vigouroux has played 10 times for Liverpool’s under-21 side, keeping three clean-sheets to date. Prior to that he was on the books at Tottenham Hotspur, where he played 12 times for their under-21s.

Vigouroux was born in London but he qualifies to play for Chile through his father and Jamaica via his mother.

He signed a new two-year contract at Liverpool back in March so a good spell at Swindon could see him return with more chance of making waves in the Red’s first-team further down the track.
