A selection of the latest news concerning West Ham United.

According to the Gazette, the Hammers are rivalling Lyon and Newcastle for Mathieu Valbuena.

The French international playmaker currently turns out for Dynamo Moscow, and is supposedly close to moving back to France to sign with Lyon, but it is stated West Ham could revive their interest in the player.

Newcastle are also included in the report as being an interested party, but a move back to Ligue 1 is more likely.

Another player who could be going to the Boleyn Ground this summer is Danilo D’Ambrosio, as per TMW. Schalke are reportedly no longer keen on the Internazionale right-back, and his agent is set to travel to London on Wednesday to open talks with the Hammers.

Concerning the Hammers current team, Slaven Bilic may field a weakened side in the Europa League this week, as he favours a strong Premier League campaign.

As per the Telegraph, Bilic is frustrated at the competition, and will risk progression so he can name his preferred first-team against Arsenal at the weekend.
