A winger, Traore is considered one of the best prospects in La Masia, and Barca want to loan him out to ensure that he can develop at the top level of precessional football.
It was reported by the Mirror that Liverpool were leading the race for the youngster, as he missed training to fly to England to complete a deal. The same report referenced that Aston Villa and Stoke City are also keen on him, and it appears as if Liverpool pulling out of a move will give one of those two teams free rein to move for Traore.
Although the move to Liverpool was reported to be a permanent deal, with a buyback clause included to insure Barcelona do not lose out on their investment, it is likely that either Villa or Stoke would be looking for a loan deal.
With just four first-team appearances to his name for Barcelona, Traore needs to ensure his next move allows him consistent chances at first-team level with a top flight team.
Although Liverpool would be a move of intent from the club, it is likely that Traore would only be a back-up option to the talent they already possess, whilst both Stoke and Villa will allow the youngster almost guaranteed playing time as a key first-team star.
