As reported by the Daily Record, Everton have sent scouts to watch Jack Hendry in recent weeks, as Roberto Martinez looks to sign the young defender.
The 20-year-old, who can play at right-back or in the centre of defence, only made his debut for the first-team last weekend, coming on as a substitute to help his side to a 0-0 draw - despite being down to 10 men.
The report states that Everton had scouts in attendance at that game, and head coach Martinez has been impressed by what he has seen of the youngster.
It is expected that Hendry will make his first start for Thistle this weekend against Celtic, as a replacement for Frederic Frans, who was dismissed in the tie against Hamilton.
It is likely that Martinez will continue to send scouts to track his progress, as he gets a full picture of a player he is impressed with.
The Toffees have yet to follow up their interest into a concrete offer, but if the youngster continues to impress with the scouts watching, it is expected that Everton will make an approach before the end of this transfer window.
