According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are now favourites to sign Barcelona winger Adama Traore - but it's still unclear whether the deal will be temporary or permanent.
Villa boss Tim Sherwood has had a busy summer so far, brining Mark Bunn, Micah Richards, Jose Crespo, Jordan Amavi, Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Veretout, Scott Sinclair, Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede to Villa Park.
However, it seems that Sherwood isn't done in the transfer market just yet, with Barcelona's Traore the latest top traget for Villa.
The Daily Mail report that, despite interest from Liverpool and Stoke City, Villa are favourites to sign the 19-year-old winger, who has come up through Barcelona's famed La Masia academy.
The report states that Villa are likely to pay a fee in order to take Traore on a season-long loan deal, but they have also held talks with Barcelona over a permanent deal which would include a buy-back clause, much like Gerard Deulofeu's move to Everton earlier this summer.
Spanish wide man Traore has been highly regarded for some time now, and he could be a major coup for Villa, should Sherwood's men manage to get the deal over the line.
With blistering pace and superb technical ability, Traore would make an impact either as a winger or even as a striker for Villa, with Sherwood no doubt looking for as many attacking threats as possible after the departure of Christian Benteke to Liverpool.
