West Ham United media round-up: Defensive target agrees deal with German side

A selection of the latest news concerning West Ham United.

West Ham look to have missed out on one of their transfer targets this summer, with Calciomercato claiming that Danilo D'Ambrosio has agreed a deal with Schalke.

The Internazionale right-back was linked with the Hammers, as per TMW, but no deal has come to fruition. However, he is still set to leave Inter, having ‘reached an agreement’ with the Bundesliga club.

The two clubs have yet to agree a fee, and the Hammers could still move to sign him, but D’Ambrosio has his heart set on a move to Germany.

Also, the Mirror reports that Matt Jarvis could be offered to QPR in exchange for Charlie Austin, with the Hammers still looking for a striker.

Enner Valenica is injured, and Slaven Bilic wants to bring in a new forward, with Austin the main target. Jarvis is expected to leave the Boleyn Ground this summer, and it would be a great deal should QPR accept the exchange.

Jack Sullivan has updated the ongoing transfer saga for an unknown player, confirming that everything is in place to sign another star if a work permit is offered.

There are no confirmations as to the player in question, but it is expected that Raul Jimenez is set to move to the Hammers if a work permit is accepted, as per the Standard.
