The Cardiff City striker has been linked to Blackburn Rovers as well recently, after starring at Bolton Wanderers on loan earlier this year.
The 28-year-old's future has been up in the air for most of the summer, having struggled during his time in South Wales. He managed just 3 goals in 21 matches at the Cardiff City Stadium last season, before taking in a loan spell at Bolton that was much more productive, scoring 8 times in 17 matches.
It was enough for Trotters fans to try and crowd fund the money necessary to bring the striker back to the Macron Stadium, while there have been a whole host of other Championship sides linked with the player, who has proved his credentials at the highest level with Reading.
But on Monday, Le Fondre teased that he was about to seal a switch to another club on Twitter, stating that he was heading for a medical, before news emerged on Wales Online that it was in fact Wolves who were set to win the fact for the attacker.
The report states that the Wanderers will take the player on loan, covering most of his £16,000 a week wages, with a permanent move lined up for next summer once the clubs can agree a transfer fee.
Le Fondre would be set to form a fearsome attacking partnership with Benik Afobe were he to move to Molineux, with the move sure to disappoint the likes of Bolton and Blackburn Rovers, who have also been closely linked recently according to the Lancashire Telegraph.
