Two stars of Tottenham Hotspur's past were pictured alongside their old teammate Kyle Walker in the build up to the Londoners' meeting with Real Madrid tomorrow evening in Munich.
The two clubs are set to meet in the Audi Cup, which also sees Bayern Munich and Real Madrid playing in the other game ahead of a possible final and third place playoff match, and it gave both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale the chance to catch up with friends from their White Hart Lane days.
Both Bale and Walker posted variations of the above picture on their Twitter pages, as the two Los Blancos stars prepare to take on the England international, and Tottenham, for the first time in their career, while in the background of the picture, it looks like Real boss Rafa Benitez is in discussions with Mauricio Pochettino.
Earlier Modric posted a message on Instagram ahead of the match, as he and Bale trained in order to take their place against their old side.
There are still a few players that would have been at Spurs when the two Real Madrid players were in North London, mainly on account of Tottenham's impressive youth policy that has yielded several first teamers over the last couple of seasons.
Alongside Walker, Danny Rose was also in and around the first team, while the likes of Andros Townsend, Ryan Mason, Tom Carroll and even Harry Kane were promising youngsters training with the senior players. The club's longest serving player, Aaron Lennon, is out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino right now, and is likely to be sold this summer.
Depending on where Bale starts given Cristiano Ronaldo's absence, Walker may well find himself up against the Welshman, or it could be Rose or Bale's compatriot Ben Davies that is faced with the ominous task of stopping the most expensive player in the world. Either way, there looks like there will be being plenty of reacquainting on the pitch come 5:15pm BST.
