HITC Sport understands Leicester City are set to seal the signing of Atalanta defender Yohan Benalouane.
Leicester City are set to unveil their latest new signing Yohan Benalouane from Atalanta, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The Tunisian centre-back jetted into England over the weekend to hold talks and undergo a medical ahead of his move to the King Power Stadium.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is keen to bolster his defensive options and he had identified Benalouane as one of his top targets.
Leicester are understood to have agreed a fee of £5.6 million with Atalanta for Benalouane with the player admitting the offer was too good for the club to turn down.
"I didn't want to leave Atalanta and would gladly have stayed, but an offer of €8m (£5.6m) is a lot for a club like Atalanta (to turn down)," Benalouane told the Bergamo Post.
Benalouane is expected to sign a four-year deal at Leicester and will become the club's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Robert Huth on a permanent deal following his successful spell last season and the additions of Christian Fuchs and Shinji Okazaki
