Joey Barton and Andy Cole react on Twitter to Arsenal win

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Community Shield at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Former Newcastle United and Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Arsenal’s triumph in the FA Community Shield.

The Gunners defeated their London rivals and Premier League champions Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday afternoon.

England international attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goal in the 24th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Barton, currently a free agent after leaving Queens Park Rangers at the end of the 2014-15 season, was following the game, and he was impressed with the performance produced by Arsenal.

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole was also impressed with the Gunners and gave his verdict on their chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Arsenal had 43% of the possession, took 11 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.

Chelsea had 57% of the possession, took 14 shots of which only two were on target, and earned four corners.
