Buying British talent:
Following the signings of Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph and young Patrick Roberts, it’s evidently clear what policy City are adopting to transfers this summer as they bid to buy the best home-grown talent.
Berahino netted 14 Premier League goals last season, and the England U21 international is among the country’s leading talents considering his current ability and huge potential.
While Spurs and Newcastle are listed as fellow suitors, arguably neither have the funds available to seal a deal whereas City’s FFP liberation suggests they in contrast have the means to make it happen.
