Tottenham release statement after Nathan Oduwa suffers head injury

The Tottenham Hotspur youngster appears to be okay following an injury sustained this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur have made a statement on their official website regarding the health of youngster Nathan Oduwa.

The 19-year-old winger was part of a Tottenham XI that played Stevenage in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, scoring the opening goal before colliding with Charlie Lee in the 27th minute.

It was seven minutes before Oduwa was taken off as he was treated on the pitch but thankfully there has been positive news from the club today.

As reported on, it has been confirmed that Oduwa was taken to hospital for a precautionary head scan which thankfully was clear. The teenager will now rest and continue to be monitored by the club’s medical staff.

Oduwa started as part of an exciting young Tottenham side that also included Cameron Carter-Vickers, Milos Veljkovic and Ismael Azzaoui among others, and while he left the field sooner than he would have hoped he will be pleased there appears to be no serious damage.

Tottenham have taken some of their young players with them on tour, but while Oduwa was left at home he is still tipped for a bright future at the club.
