As per a report in The Sun, Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie wants his asking price lowered in order to keep his options open regarding a possible future switch.
The talented winger was one of the club’s leading stars last season, prompting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and a potential summer switch to the North London outfit.
The player has yet to try to force an exit from Selhurst Park, although a fresh report in The Sun claims that he is seeking a reduction from his current price tag which has so far put off potential suitors.
Tricky spot for Crystal Palace
The South London outfit will not want to let arguably their best player leave, though refusing him the opportunity to make his own decision could cause discontent and a potentially damaging situation.
Boss Alan Pardew is well aware of the qualities Bolasie possesses, yet to consider him a £25 million player is far-fetched and a statement which says he’s not available for transfer under any consideration.
Of course the Eagles won’t want to sell the 26-year-old, but denying the player options has its complications, and the club would only stand to lose if he decides to try to force a switch elsewhere.
