Report: Sunderland secure Leroy Fer from Queens Park Rangers

Leroy Fer is reportedly on his way from Championship club Queens Park Rangers to Premier League outfit Sunderland.

Sunderland have struck a deal to sign Leroy Fer from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Black Cats are confident of having the midfielder in the squad by Tuesday.

Fer has signed a season-long loan deal with the Premier League club, according to the report.

Good signing for Sunderland?

Fer is one of the better players in the current QPR squad and showed his quality in the Premier League last season.

The Netherlands international joined Rangers from Norwich City in the summer of 2014, and it seems that he will continue to ply his trade in the Premier League.

The former Feyenoord star scored six goals and created 48 chances in 29 Premier League appearances for QPR during the 2014-15 season.

Fer had a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 37%, and won 74 headers, 59 dribbles and 43 tackles.
