Report: Not just Grant Hall, QPR could bring in another Tottenham defender, Ryan Fredericks

Ryan Fredericks could join QPR on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

QPR could sign Ryan Fredericks on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, report The Sun.

The defender impressed at Championship side Middlesbrough last season, but does not appear to be in Mauricio Pochettino's first team plans at present, left out of Spurs' pre-season tour to America.

The right-back is intriguingly being lined up to play as a centre-back according to The Sun's report, with Spurs happy to loan him out.

Fredericks has played Europa League football for Spurs previously, but at 22 needs to play regularly. He made 16 appearances for Middlesbrough last season in the Championship before injury derailed his progress.

He could follow Grant Hall to QPR, who has been on trial with the Hoops over the weekend.

The Tottenham defender played 45 minutes of a friendly game against Italian side Atalanta, but manager Chris Ramsey is not entirely convinced, quoted by West London Sport that Hall would be a back-up option for the club if they choose to sign him.

Fredericks would likely leapfrog Hall in the pecking order at QPR, with the club aiming to secure promotion back to the Premier League after last year's disappointing campaign.
