Rangers fans react to Martyn Waghorn's 'fantastic' display during Peterhead victory

Rangers beat Peterhead 3-0 at Ibrox earlier today.

Rangers made it through to the second round of the Scottish League Cup with a 3-0 win over Peterhead at Ibrox this afternoon.

After last weekend's 6-2 demolition of Hibernian in the Petrofac Trianing Cup, spirits were high in the Rangers camp, and their confidence showed with a convincing victory over Peterhead.

Mark Warburton's men coasted into the second round thanks to goals from David Templeton, Kenny Miller and James Tavernier, with their prospects looking good ahead of the new Scottish Championship season.

Seeing a new signing in Tavernier - who also scored against Hibernian - find his feet quickly will be a boost for Warburton, and the same can also be said of striker Waghorn.

The 25-year-old forward, who followed Tavernier from Wigan Athletic to Rangers, bagged twice against Hibernian but couldn't find the net against Peterhead.

That didn't stop Rangers fans from lauding Waghorn for his hard work and link up play in attack, suggesting that he was 'fantastic' as well as the clear man of the match.

Here are some of the reactions from Rangers fans after Waghorn's display against Peterhead, with many supporters delighted with his performances.
