Predicted Tottenham line-up to play Real Madrid: Dier and Trippier to start

Tottenham Hotspur take on Real Madrid this week so who will start for Mauricio Pochettino's side?

Tottenham Hotspur take on Real Madrid in the Audi Cup on Tuesday and manager Mauricio Pochettino has some decisions to make with the new Premier League campaign just a few days away.

Tottenham have played the majority of their senior pre-season friendlies behind closed doors this summer, but when they did leave the training ground they fell to a 2-1 defeat against MLS All-Stars last week.

There were still positives to take from the match, not least the performance of substitute Dele Alli, but against the Spanish giants Pochettino is likely to pick a side very close if not identical to the one that will kick off the new league campaign against Manchester United.

Eric Dier is expected to keep his place in midfield while the front four of Nacer Chadli, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane should stay the same.

The likely changes could come in the full-back positions, with Danny Rose replacing Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier potentially getting a start ahead of Kyle Walker on the opposite flank.

Below is the Tottenham side we predict will start against Real this week:
