Photos: Summer signing rejoices against Everton, Doukara makes a tackle

Leeds United defeated Everton 2-0 at Elland Road in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Leeds United ended their pre-season schedule on a positive note, as they got the better of Everton at Elland Road on Saturday.

The West Yorkshire outfit defeated Premier League side Everton 2-0 at home to get a huge confidence boost ahead of the 2015-16 Championship campaign, which starts next weekend.

Both goals came in the second half. Alex Mowatt opened the scoring in the 57th minute, and Chris Wood added the second 10 minutes from full time (see photo above)

Leeds’ performance against the Merseyside outfit was quite impressive, with the players showing that they are ready for the challenge ahead.

Wood will be an important player for the Whites, having joined them from Leicester City last month.

Another striker who featured against Everton on Saturday was Souleymane Doukara (see photo below).

The 23-year-old joined Leeds last summer, but he had a disappointing season and is not guaranteed a place in Uwe Rosler’s starting line-up.
