It looks like Allan Rodrigues de Souza will be wearing the number 60 shirt.
Liverpool continued their preparations for the new season with a 2-0 friendly win against HJK Helsinki in Finland yesterday.
Liverpool were confident throughout the game and calmly claimed the win thanks to goals from Divock Origi and Phillippe Coutinho.
It was another goal from last year’s summer signing Origi, who spent last season back on loan with Liille in the French top-flight. He will be hoping to have an impact at the club this season.
Plenty of newbies got a game, including Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner and Origi. However, the newest of the lot was Allan Rodrigues de Souza.
Allan was only signed yesterday from Internacional in Brazil and he was on the bench for the game. His squad number for the upcoming season was also seemingly revealed.
He is wearing the number ‘38’ on his tracksuit, but that number belongs to injury absentee Jon Flanagan. His shorts read ‘60’ and the teenager seems to have chosen that as his number at the club, rather than Liverpool upending Flanagan.
All in all it was a good workout for Liverpool and hopefully a precursor to what is to come in the Premier League this season.
