Moses Odubajo is closing in on a transfer to Hull City with contract talks and a medical planned for the next 24 hours, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The Tigers tabled a bid for the 22-year-old last week and are now edging towards completing a deal for the talented wide man by agreeing a contract.
Brentford are resigned to losing Odubajo after Hull activated his release clause, but it had been widely believed that he would head for the Premier League, rather than the Championship.
However, Brentford's Marinus Dijkhuizen admitted that Odubajo wanted to join Hull, quoted by Get West London.
Hull are looking to add some reinforcements in a bid to bounce straight back to the top flight after last season's relegation and Odubajo could be a useful addition.
If all goes smoothly and there are no unforeseen medical issues then the deal could be done early on Monday.
