Aston Villa have been busy this summer, with Tim Sherwood nailing the French market in a similar way to how Alan Pardew once did at Newcastle United.
The club have brought in the likes of Jordan Ayew, Jordan Veretout, Jordan Amavi and Idrissa Gueye this summer and at a good price for all three.
So who should be their next signing from French football?
They snapped up Veretout from Nantes and they should raid the club again, this time for a much needed defender.
The club need to replace Ron Vlaar with a top quality defender and Papy Mison Djilobodji certainly fits the bill.
The Senegalese central defender has proved himself as one of the top young defenders in France. The Ligue 1 club would of course be reluctant to sell yet another of their star players to Villa, but at the right price they would of course be willing to sell.
Djilobodj is perfect for English football. He is fast, strong and good in the air – making him perfect for Villa.
If Villa are going to sign another player from the French league, then Djilobodj must be at the top of the wish-list.
