Confirmed: West Ham line-up v Werder Bremen

West Ham Upton Park

Premier League outfit West Ham United will take on German club Werder Bremen in a pre-season friendly game this afternoon…

West Ham United will be looking to give the fans something to cheer about when they take on Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in a pre-season friendly match at home this afternoon.

The Hammers will head into the encounter at the Boleyn Ground on the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw with FC Astra Giurgiu in the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying round last week.

The London outfit have not been exactly great in pre-season, and Slaven Bilic’s side will be determined to put on a show this afternoon.

West Ham will also be looking for a strong performance in order to get into some form ahead of Thursday’s second-leg tie against Astra away from home in Romania.

The Hammers need to step up their game for that encounter, and a good win today will boost the players’ confidence.

It promises to be an exciting game at the Boleyn Ground, and this is how West Ham will line up:

West Ham United XI: Adrian, Tomkins, Kouyate, Zarate, Jenkinson, Sakho, Noble, Ogbonna, Payet, Oxford, Page

Subs: Amalfitano, Collins, Maiga, Poyet, Henry, Lanzini, Spiegel, Lee, Cullen, Howes, Knoyle, Nasha, Pask
