Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud is not one of the best strikers in the Premier League.
Marsh does not appear to rate the France international highly, as his following post on Twitter suggests:
Giroud is not a world-class striker, but his record for Arsenal since his move from Montpellier in the summer of 2012 has been impressive.
Last season, the 28-year-old scored 14 goals and created 28 chances in 27 Premier League appearances.
During the 2013-14 campaign, the former Tours star scored 16 goals and created 37 chances in 36 league matches, while in 2012-13 he scored 11 goals and created 34 chances in 34 Premier League games.
Giroud is the best striker in the Arsenal squad at the moment and will be an important player in the Gunners’ challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.
