Liverpool's Emre Can praises Benteke and Firmino and says he will learn from Milner

The Liverpool player has been talking about three of his new teammates.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been speaking to the club’s official website about the Reds’ recent additions Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke.

If Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was looking for more goals in the upcoming season he went the right way about it by signing the free-scoring Brazilian and the dangerous Belgian who together could form a highly effective partnership in the Premier League.

Can spent last season playing predominantly at the back but with Seven Gerrard no longer at Anfield it seems certain the young German will get his chance to impress in his preferred midfield position from now on.

That could see him interact far more with Firmino and Benteke and he is certainly impressed by Liverpool’s new additions.

Speaking to about Firmino, Can said, “He is a very, very good player, he scores a lot of great goals and that’s what we need.

“Christian is another very strong player, he works very hard. We see in the training camps just how much effort he puts in.”

Can went on to suggest that the addition of James Milner will also work to his advantage.

The England international arrived on a free transfer from Manchester City earlier this summer, and the German star said, “James is a great player…so I am sure there will be a lot I can learn from him.”

Can has played 40 matches for Liverpool so far, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, but playing further forward, expect him to add to those totals sooner rather than later.
