Wolverhampton Wanderers are aiming to sign highly-rated Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett is keen to bolster his attacking options after seeing Bakary Sako leave Molineux earlier this summer upon the expiration of his contract.
Jackett is thought to be an admirer of Ojo and sees the England Under-18 international as an ideal replacement for Sako as he will help fill the void on the left wing in the club’s starting XI.
Ojo is highly-regarded at Anfield and although he has yet to make his senior debut, he has been on the fringes of the first-team, appearing on the bench twice last season.
The 18-year-old joined Liverpool in 2011 from MK Dons in a big-money deal, with Liverpool beating the likes of Chelsea to the exciting attacker – as reported by the Express.
Ojo enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Wigan Athletic last season, impressing at the DW Stadium during his 11 appearances for the club.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes Ojo's development would benefit from a loan spell playing regular first-team football next season, and Wolves are keen to win the race for Ojo's signature.
