John Aldridge and Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Rickie Lambert exit

Rickie Lambert has moved from Liverpool to Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion.

Liverpool legend John Aldridge has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Rickie Lambert’s departure from the club.

The England international striker has left Liverpool for Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion.

The 33-year-old moved to the Reds from Southampton in the summer of 2014, but he struggled for regular playing time under manager Brendan Rodgers during the 2014-15 campaign.

Lambert did not fit in the Liverpool manager’s style and could make just 25 Premier League appearances last season, scoring two goals and creating 11 chances in the process.

Aldridge has taken to Twitter to bid farewell to Lambert, who will now be looking to establish himself in the West Brom starting line-up.

Following Lambert’s exit, Liverpool fans also took to Twitter to have their say. Most of the supporters wished the former Bristol Rovers and Macclesfield Town striker well at The Hawthorns.
