While Tottenham Hotspur’s senior side prepare for their Audi Cup match against Real Madrid next week, a collection of their younger players are competing in a game of their own.
This weekend a Tottenham XI are playing Stevenage in a pre-season friendly and some of the players tipped for a very bright future at White Hart Lane are in action.
Among those are 17-year-old Belgian Ismail Azzaoui who was recently crowned Player of the Tournament at the National U21 Tournament in France.
Talented teenage centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers is also in action, along with Milos Veljkovic, Nathan Oduwa and Kyle Walker-Peters.
They may have a little way to go before they are playing for the Tottenham first-team but they are supremely talented and certainly in the case of Carter-Vickers and (further down the line) Azzaoui, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has some very exciting options on his hands.
