Celtic started their Scottish Premiership campaign with a 2-0 victory against Ross County this weekend, with Bhoys manager Ronny Deila no doubt having half an eye on the upcoming Champions League qualifying match against Qarabag.
Celtic lead 1-0 from the first leg but still have plenty of work to do, and with that in mind Deila gave a chance at left-back to 18-year-old Kieran Tierney.
It may have been Leigh Griffiths and Stefan Johansen who got the goals but Tierney was one of the standout players on the day and his performance speaks of better things to come.
Before this weekend Tierney had only played two matches for Celtic’s senior side, both of which came last season. But on this evidence he will play plenty more.
The Scotland under-18 international featured for an hour before being replaced by another exciting young prospect in the form of Saidy Janko.
The former Manchester United player also impressed and there is a good chance the pair will be playing at opposite ends of Celtic's defence for years to come.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Celtic fans thought of Tierney’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:

Tierney was spot on today. Never let anything pass him defensively and was decent going forward. Looks good!— Shawn Ayres (@S_Ayres) August 1, 2015
Boyata & Janko look terrific signings for #Celtic. However I wasn't too thrilled with Tierney's performance at LB today.— Terry O'Brien (@terry_obrien86) August 1, 2015
