The Newcastle United forward is looking forward to turning out in front of his home crowd.

Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez has taken to Twitter ahead of his side’s pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach this weekend.
The Magpies play their first match at St James’ Park since their 2-0 victory against West Ham United at the end of last season, and it gives the club’s fans the chance to see some of their new signings in the flesh.
Newcastle have impressed with their summer spending to date, bringing in Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV Eindhoven and Anderlecht pair Chancel Mbemba and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
All three could feature this afternoon, although Mbemba may have to wait given that he only officially signed at the end of last week.
Perez was in that trio’s shoes at the start of last season, and the Spaniard ultimately proved to be a smart addition, ending that campaign with seven goals in 36 league games. And it seems he has clearly been missing the Newcastle home support, at least if his latest message on social media is anything to go by.
“There is no better place to be like home,” the Newcastle youngster wrote. “Today we come back to St James’ Park; see you there.”
