Nicky Ajose looks set to leave Championship outfit Leeds United this summer.

Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that Nicky Ajose does not feature in his plans for the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

The 23-year-old forward has been on the books of the West Yorkshire outfit since August 2014, but he played on loan for Crewe Alexandra for most of last season.

Ajose has been not been a given a squad number for this term, and Rosler has stated that the forward has been asked to find a new club.

“I spoke to Nicky before we went to our training camp,” the Leeds head coach told The West Yorkshire Post. “Nothing has changed.

“I feel I can’t guarantee him the playing time he probably wishes for and it’s better for both parties if Nicky tries to find himself a new club.

“He’s a great age, he’s a good footballer and there’s some interest in him. Unfortunately he will not play for us.”

Days numbered

It seems that Ajose’s days at Leeds are numbered, and it is best for both parties if a solution is found soon.

It will be interesting to see how much transfer fee the Whites demand in order to sell Ajose this summer.

Given that Leeds have publicly stated that the forward is for sale, one suspects that not many clubs will be willing to pay much as his price will come have come down.
