Tottenham are reportedly interested in Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham are rekindling their interest in Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva this summer.
Candreva, 28, has been a star for Lazio ever since signing from Udinese back in January 2012, racking up 33 goals in 148 games for the Serie A side.
The Italian international played a starring role for the Azzurri last summer as they beat England 2-1 in the Group Stage of last summer's World Cup, and speculation surrounded his future following that tournament.
The Daily Mirror reported that Tottenham were looking to sign Candreva, but nothing came of the speculation, leaving Candreva to play out the campaign at the Stadio Olimpico.
Now though, Tutto Mercato Web report that Tottenham have now rekindled their interest in the midfielder, who could cost around €18.5m (£13m).
Primarily a right sided midfielder with superb work rate and technical ability, Candreva may not be the pacey winger Spurs are looking for this summer, but his ability in possession would be a welcome addition to the Tottenham side.
At 28 years of age, Spurs fans may be hoping to see a younger wide man come into the club, especially if he is going to cost £13m - money which could go towards a deal for West Brom's Saido Berahino, for example.
With Candreva allegedly frustrated at not becoming Lazio captain this summer according to the report, Tottenham may just be doing their due diligence again having been interested in him around a year ago.
