Report: No official bid from West Ham for Liverpool’s Fabio Borini

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals West Ham United this summer.

West Ham United have not made an approach for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, according to The Independent.

Italy international striker Borini has been linked with a move away from the Reds this summer, with Premier League rivals West Ham alleged to be keen on his services.

However, the Hammers are yet to make a bid for the 24-year-old striker, according to The Independent.

Should West Ham United make a move for Fabio Borini?

Borini has been on the books of Liverpool since 2012, but he has been largely a squad player for the Reds.

The former Chelsea prospect did well during his loan spell at Sunderland during the 2013-14 campaign, but he was once again warming the substitutes’ bench at Anfield last season.

While West Ham do need a striker this summer, Borini is not the player for them.

The Hammers have the lofty ambition of a top-eight finish in the Premier League, and the Italian is not going to score the goals needed to accomplish that.
