The Villarreal talent is all set for a switch to Manchester this summer.
Manchester City are reportedly set to sign another Spaniard to add to their current contingent, although this is one for the future.
The club have the likes of David Silva and Jesus Navas in the first-team but it is now being reported that Aleix Garcia will be joining their youth team.
El Periodico Mediterraneo are claiming that Manchester City are all set to meet the apparent £2.1 million release clause in his current deal at Villarreal to bring him to Eastlands as a potential first-team player of the future.
Villarreal reportedly refused to overpay for his wages, after City offered him more in his first year in Manchester than Los Amarillos could offer him in a full five-year contract – which shows the staggering spending costs City can operate.
Garcia is a talented winger who currently represents Spain at under-18 level. He made his first-team debut for Villarreal in May during a La Liga match with Athletic Bilbao and recently featured at The Emirates Cup, hosted by City’s Premier League rivals Arsenal.
He will join the likes of countrymen Jose Angel Pozo, Pablo Maffeo, Manuel Garcia and Angelino in trying to make it at City.
