Taking a look at the 11 players we feel make up Manchester United's strongest available starting line-up.
With just over a week until the new Premier League campaign kicks off, Manchester United are looking in pretty good shape.
Manager Louis van Gaal has already signed four new players, all of whom significantly strengthen his squad, but there is still work to be done, with a new centre-back and an additional striker surely high on his wish-list.
Of the new additions, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay have impressed the most during the club’s pre-season tour of the USA, but new right-back Matteo Darmian also looks like a real find and he will hopefully add the stability in that position that has been lacking in recent times.
United now have a sizeable squad to choose from but only 11 players can take to the pitch at any given time, so who are the men who should be classed as forming the club’s strongest possible starting line-up?
Assuming everyone remains – and by ‘everyone’ we of course mean David de Gea – below is the side we believe is United’s strongest…until more new faces inevitably arrive in the coming month, that is.
