Bilic's frank reply over question about pre-season issue at West Ham

Slaven Bilic

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic says there's no point moaning about a pre-season issue at the club.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic gave a very blunt reply when asked about juggling responsibilities, as covered by the club’s official website.

Bilic suggested that there is no point complaining about the several different jobs he’s already had to do, as he prepares for his first Premier League season with the Hammers.

Bilic is in a difficult situation where he’s having to prepare the team for the Premier League season, ensuring that everyone is getting fit and also ensuring that the club progresses in Europe.

“Well I’ve said it a few times already, and I don’t want to repeat myself, but we are taking it day by day, and week in week out,” he told whufc.com.

“It’s not ideal, but there’s no point in moaning over it, we just have to cope with the situation, and that’s it, no excuses.”

What Bilic’s comments show

Bilic’s comments show that he’s a very open and honest manager who will tell things how they area.

If someone makes a mistake, if he makes a mistake or if the team plays badly, he will hold his hands up and admit it.

It’s a refreshing attitude which always lets the players know where they are in terms of their jobs and position in the squad and it’s an attitude, which lets the fans know exactly where the manager feels the side is in terms of the way they are progressing.

Difficult periods will come

There are going to be difficult patches in the season where it’s difficult for the club in terms of results and the squad.

Bilic will be seriously tested during those spells but for now, he seems determined to be open and determined for the club to get off to a good start in that game against Arsenal next weekend.
