Arsenal transfer round-up: Hayden and Toral set for Championship; Lewandowski linked

All the latest gossip and news from The Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are set to let three of their younger players leave the club, one permanently and two temporarily.

Defender Isaac Hayden, who battled with injury last term, is set to join recently relegated Hull City on loan.

The Guardian report that the 20-year-old looks set for his first loan spell away from The Gunners with Hull set to play him in defensive midfield next season.

Hayden can also play at centre-back and right-back.

Another youngster in Jon Toral is also going out on loan this summer. The young Spaniard, who spent last term with Brentford, has joined Birmingham City on loan for the season.

The Birmingham Mail confirmed the move yesterday.

Costa Rican international Joel Campbell is the other name on the list. He is being touted with a permanent move to Palermo, after failing to secure a first-team berth with The Gunners.

Arsenal are reportedly after £7 million for the player and talkSPORT claim the Italian side are willing to cough up.

Finally, and Arsenal are being linked with an extraordinary move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Daily Star reported yesterday that The Gunners were ready to switch attention from Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema to the Polish international goal-machine.

They quote a fee in the region of £35 million.
