The former Arsenal defender has been discussing two of the north London side's current centre-backs.
Sol Campbell believes Laurent Koscielny is one of Arsenal's most important players - and also thinks Calum Chambers should knock on Arsene Wenger's door and insist on playing at centre-back, according to ESPN.
Indeed, the former Arsenal defender has been discussing the north London side's Premier League title chances, which he rates highly, and has name-checked the likes of Per Mertesacker, Petr Cech, Koscielny and Chambers as keys to the Gunners' success.
And Campbell also feels Arsenal's defensive troubles as a whole have been exaggerated of late. He sounds rather optimistic...
He told ESPN: "I think these have been a bit exaggerated and the back four is not as bad as fans and pundits have made out. Only Chelsea and Southampton conceded fewer goals last season.
"Laurent Koscielny has become one of Arsenal's most important players and the statistics show that when he's in the side they concede fewer goals. [Per] Mertesacker is solid and very dependable.
"I also think [Calum] Chambers needs to play at centre-half on a consistent basis because that is his best position. If I was him, I would be knocking on the manager's door to tell him this. Add Cech to the equation and you have a very strong defence."
Koscielny's contribution is undoubtedly a vital one at the Emirates Stadium, while Chambers has shown promise during his fledgling Arsenal career so far.
But could Campbell be forgetting Gabriel?
Indeed, Mertesacker and Koscielny have formed a strong partnership with the Gunners over the years but the 24-year-old has clearly been brought in for a purpose. Gabriel showed good signs last season and, if he isn't a starter next time around, the cover he will provide at the very least should be crucial during Arsenal's Premier League campaign.
