Report: French giants lining up loan move for Tottenham Hotspur star DeAndre Yedlin

The USA international has admitted he would be open to going out on loan this season.

It is reported in France that Olympique Lyonnais are set to step up their pursuit for Tottenham Hotspur attacking full-back DeAndre Yedlin on loan for the upcoming season.

A report from Les Parisien confirms that Lyon are upping their interest in the likes of Younes Belhanda and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa this week, with Yedlin also in their crosshairs.

This comes of course in the wake of Yedlin admitting to the press yesterday that he was open to a loan move away from Tottenham next season if it meant he played regular first-team football.

Yedlin arrived from Seattle Sounders in the winter but has so far struggled to adapt to English football.

With Kyle Walker and new signing Kieran Trippier seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order for the upcoming season Yedlin would be right to consider a temporary spell away from the club in order to play regularly and begin to get acquainted with European football.

Lyon would be an excellent place for him to start such development. The French league is competitive and the Lyon are playing in the Champions League next season, which would also be an excellent experience for the youngster.
