Report: European trio eyeing move for Aston Villa defender Aly Cissokho

Aston Villa

Aston Villa face a three-pronged approach for defender Aly Cissokho, with Porto, Lille and Fiorentina among the interested parties.

According to talkSPORT, Porto, Lille and Fiorentina are in a three-way fight to sign Aston Villa defender Aly Cissokho.

The 27-year-old full-back has become surplus to requirements at Villa Park following the arrival of highly-rated Jordan Amavi from Nice.

talkSPORT suggest that Portuguese outfit Porto have identified Cissokho as a top target, and are prepared to bid £3 million for a man they sold to Lyon back in 2009.

Meanwhile, Ligue 1 club Lille and Serie A outfit Fiorentina are also keen, but the European duo are only prepared to take the 27-year-old on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Cissokho joined Villa on a four-year deal last summer after a brief loan spell with Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool and is keen to get more game time next season.

The Frenchman made 25 league appearances throughout the previous campaign, despite not featuring from February onwards.

He won 55% of his total duels throughout his involvement, including 71% of his headed duels, while he completed 75% of his attempted passes.
