Newcastle United have unveiled their new away kit for next season in a post on their official Twitter account.
The kit is predominantly white with light blue trim on the collar and sleeves and it also has a triangular-stitch pattern running across both the front and the back.
It is a classy shirt and Newcastle manager Steve McClaren will no doubt be hoping it becomes synonymous with success as he bids to hit the ground running in his first year in charge.
Newcastle had a campaign to forget under former manager John Carver but with McClaren in charge they have already impressed in the transfer market, signing Georginio Wijnaldum from PSV Eindhoven and Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht.
Another player from the Belgian side – Chancel Mbemba – is due to complete his move to St James’ Park once he has received a work permit, the hearing for which is tomorrow (Thursday).
With a couple more canny additions the future could be very bright for Newcastle and their supporters…and about time, too.
