New Southampton defender Steven Caulker has been photographed taking part in his first training session since arriving on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers.
The centre-back has been brought in by Saints boss Ronald Koeman following the depature of former loanee Toby Alderweireld.
With the Belgian international now at Tottenham Hotspur, there was a considerable hole at the back for Southampton to fill and they will be hoping Caulker can do that.
Still only 23, the defender has not had the best of times in the Premier League to date, suffering back-to-back relegations with Cardiff City and QPR, but Southampton have the squad to ensure it is a far smoother ride for the player over the next year.
Southampton have brought in a number of new players as they look to continue where they left off last season, and with their defence getting something of a makeover it will be interesting to see how all the new faces gel.
Caulker was snapped training on Wednesday, with the photograph later posted on Southampton’s official Twitter account.
