West Brom's social media team are clearly taking a more proactive approach these days...
West Brom's social media team pulled another blinder on Wednesday afternoon as they hit back at ITV with a light-hearted but brilliant jibe on Twitter.
Indeed, after announcing James Chester as their new signing, West Brom were the subject of the odd cheeky response on social media.
ITV Football were one of those to react, seemingly mocking Chester's 'delightedness' after he was filmed saying he is happy to join the Baggies.
West Brom hit back, however, and their jibe immediately won the battle.
In reference to when ITV accidentally cut to commercial break during a live match broadcast, the Baggies' social media team offered up the following gem:
We did think about dropping in a commercial break halfway through... https://t.co/FR2tEPyg13— West Bromwich Albion (@WBAFCofficial) July 29, 2015
ITV's advert blunder happened more than once and they have duly been caught out by the Premier League side as a result.
It's all in good humour, of course, and follows a bucking of the trend from West Brom's official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, when they responded to the 'silly' speculation surrounding a bid for Saido Berahino.
The social media team are certainly embracing the digital age and taking a more proactive approach online these days. Let's just hope the Baggies' on-pitch success will match up to their lofty Twitter heights - or they could be the butt of a few jokes themselves in the coming months.
